To confirm a Booking with Bagwele Safaris or the Mogwele Game Lodge, a 50% deposit of the Total Accommodation cost
of the safari is required.
The dates booked will only be reserved on receipt of a Proof of Payment for the Deposit. Where more than one hunting
party has requested the same dates, we work on a "First come first serve basis".
A receipt of the Proof of Payment for the deposit is an acknowledgement that you have read and accepted Cancellation clause.
The balance of the Total Accommodation cost is payable upon completion of the safari, including the cost of any animals taken or wounded
and any other costs incurred during the safari. All payments are to be made either in Cash, Travellers Cheques, Bank Guaranteed Cheques
or Wire Transfer (EFT) only.
If the booking is cancelled for any reason, the Cancellation must be in writing. The cancellation fees due and
payable will be calculated according to the following:
- No refund of the deposit will be made if no notice of cancellation is received.
- More than 60 days prior to arrival; a full refund of the deposit less a 5% administrative charge based on the Total Accommodation cost or Total package price.
- Between 40 and 60 days prior to arrival; a full refund of the deposit less a 20% administrative charge based on the Total Accommodation cost or Total package price.
- Between 20 and 40 days prior to arrival; a full refund of the deposit less a 40% administrative charge based on the Total Accommodation cost or Total package price.
- Less than 20 days prior to arrival; no refund.
Bagwele Safaris, Mogwele Game Lodge, their Owners, Employees and/or Agents shall not be liable for any damage, losses and expenses
suffered by any client as a result of sickness, quarantine, weather conditions, war, strikes, riots or any other cause outside
our control.
Bagwele Safaris, Mogwele Game Lodge, their Owners, Employees and/or Agents shall not be liable for death, injury, loss or damage
to person or property arising out of any act, omission or negligence. The client shall be deemed to have waived, renounced and
abandoned any and all right or entitlement which the client may be entitled to under the provisions of the law of the Republic of
South Africa for any loss or damage to person or property.
Bagwele Safaris and Mogwele Game Lodge shall not be liable for any loss or expense arising from the loss of property, cancellation
or curtailment of the hunting safari however caused.

Clients may not carry; have in their possession or in their control; any articles or substances which are deemed to be illegal in
terms of the laws of the Republic of South Africa whilst in the Republic of South Africa. If any client does not observe and comply
with this prohibition, Bagwele Safaris and Mogwele Game Lodge will be entitled to immediately exclude from the safari party the
offender who will be responsible for his or her own repatriation and all costs thereof. Bagwele Safaris and Mogwele Game Lodge will
under no circumstances assist any such offender in any dealings or negotiations with any authority.
In all matters where it is or may be necessary to have recourse to the Court, the Courts of the Republic of South Africa shall have
sole jurisdiction to the exclusion of the Courts of any other country and the laws of the Republic of South Africa shall prevail.
The Lodge will be made available from 07h00 on the first day to 12h00 on the last
day; any additional days will be billed as per normal daily rates.
The following Documentation and actions are required before hunting
- Signing of Indemnity.
- Signing of Permission to Hunt.
- All hunters will be required to take target practice on the shooting range before they will be permitted to hunt.
The shooting of Rifles and/or Bows is required for two reasons:
- To ensure the Rifles and/or Bows shoot true, and
- To give the Owner/Manager comfort that the hunter is competent.
General Camp Rules
- Right of Admission is Reserved.
- No smoking inside the lodge and/or bungalows.
- No loaded firearms permitted on vehicles, in the lodge and 200 meters surrounding.
- Fire only permitted in the boma.
- No littering in and around the lodge or anywhere on the property.
- No use of private vehicles on the farm, other than driving to or from the lodge and butchery.
- Do not give liquor to the staff, a soft drink is more that sufficient.
- No shotguns or air rifles.
- No pets.
- No motor/quad bikes.
- Wounded animals will be charged at full price.
- Fees for animals hunted payable before departure.
- Any damage to property will be added to the final account.

Hunting Rules
- Minimum calibre of 7mm or equivalent.
- Hunting is permitted from Sunrise to Sunset only.
- No hunting within 300 meters of the lodge, butchery or workshops.
- Rifle and/or Bow zeroing and sighting may only be conducted at the shooting range, and only if accompanied by the Owner/Manager.
- Any hunter found to be incompetent on the shooting range will not be allowed to hunt until he/she has convinced Owner/Manager of his/her competence in shooting accurately at the correct distance.
- All hunting is done on foot.
- No hunting will be allowed outside the designated hunting area.
- No hunting will be permitted on or from the vehicle.
- No alcohol may be taken on or consumed during a hunt.
- Hunters who are suspected of being intoxicated will not be permitted to hunt.
- All hunters must be accompanied by a guide, subject to Owner's/Manager's discretion.
- Hunters must satisfy themselves with regards to Species, Size and Sex of the game to be hunted. Guides do not participate in selection, and animals are shot at the hunter's discretion.
- Should a hunter wound an animal and not find the animal before the hunting trip is over, the hunter will lose his/her claim to the animal.
Guides and Staff
- Guides are there for guidance in the veld and are not responsible for identification of species, sex, advice on shot placement or judgement on size or quality of trophy - that remains the responsibility of the hunter or where applicable the Professional Hunter.
- Guides are not responsible for the finding of wounded animals; however they will do their utmost to assist you in finding the animal.
- Blood, bone, stomach content or other as pointed out by guides after a shot was fired will count as a deadly hit.
- Staff are allowed to receive tips for jobs well done. Should you wish to tip any staff member kindly give the tips to Owner/Manager who will forward them to the staff. Do not tip staff directly.
